ABOUT AGS
MISSION OF THE AGENCY
The mission of AGS is to improve behavioral health services for persons served in Baltimore, Maryland and surrounding communities. This mission can be accomplished through identification and prevention of mental/substance health problems particularly among children, adults, and other populations who are at high risk; implementation of evidence-based treatment and support; ensure there are culturally appropriate and effective services to communities through education and outreach efforts; and improve access to care.
MISSION OF THE OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC (OMHC)
It is the mission of AGS Programs Outpatient Mental Health Clinic to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services that include, but not limited to, individual, group, and family counseling and education on wellness, recovery, and resiliency.
MISSION OF INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP/OP)
The mission of AGS Intensive Outpatient/Outpatient Program (SUD) is to provide therapeutic support services, where the primary goal is to treat substance abuse, chemical dependency, and co-occurring disorders by creating a supportive community that fosters personal growth leading to self-accountability, so that individuals can achieve their greatest self while sustaining sobriety.
Mission of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program
It is the mission of AGS to empower at-risk individuals in our community with social, behavioral, cognitive, and educational skills that will enable them to achieve their greatest self.
